Transparency of Authority
Authority exercised over land, waters, and territory must be transparent under Ayaawx.
Any person, house, or entity asserting lawful use or access must be able to clearly demonstrate:
- The source of their authority
- The scope and limits of that authority
- The conditions under which authority was granted
- The duration of authority, if temporary
- The responsibilities attached to that authority
Authority that cannot be explained, traced, or demonstrated is not presumed to exist.
Transparency of authority requires that:
- Permissions and agreements are openly acknowledged
- Conditions of use are known and understood
- Authority holders remain identifiable and accountable
- Witnesses are able to confirm legitimacy where required
Concealed, implied, or assumed authority has no standing under Ayaawx and does not establish lawful use or access.
