The original instructions given at the beginning of time
The Original Instructions Given at the Beginning of Time
The original instructions given at the beginning of time refer to the foundational teachings that establish correct relationships between humans, lands, waters, animals, names, and unseen beings. These instructions are understood to pre-exist human authority and are not attributed to any single individual, council, or governing body.
The original instructions are not preserved as a single spoken command or written text. They are known and transmitted through lived practice, witnessing, and the accumulated memory of consequences observed when balance is maintained or broken. Their continued validity is demonstrated through outcomes rather than assertion.
Within Tsm’syen law, these instructions form the underlying conditions from which Ayaawk arises. Law is not created by authority; rather, authority emerges through correct relationship, responsibility, and adherence to these foundational instructions.
Teachings connected to the original instructions are carried across generations through Adaawk, reinforced through public witnessing, and maintained through ongoing responsibility to wilp, land, and community.
The original instructions are therefore understood as a source of law, not as a codified rule set, and remain active through continued observance, correction, and transmission.
