Sign-In Protocol & Editing Rights

INITIATION PAGE — Luudisk is open for everyone to read, but only approved community members may edit. This page explains how access works and how to request an account.

1. Who Can Read Luudisk

  • All pages are visible to the public.
  • Anyone in the world may browse, learn, and read.
  • This ensures our language, maps, culture, and teachings are accessible to youth, families, and future generations.

Reading is open. Editing is protected.

2. Who Can Edit Pages

Editing is limited to:

  • verified community members
  • trusted contributors
  • Elders or House representatives (optional access)
  • people invited by the administrators

Anonymous users and the general public cannot edit.

This protects:

  • cultural accuracy
  • House authority
  • our maps and place-names
  • Ayaawx and adawx
  • the integrity of community knowledge

3. How to Request an Editing Account

If you want to help build or correct Luudisk:

  1. Contact the site administrator.
  2. Provide your full name and your preferred username.
  3. A short explanation of what you want to help with (optional but useful).
  4. The administrator will create an account and send you a temporary password.

When you log in for the first time, please change your password.

4. Username Guidelines

Your username should be:

  • something easy to remember
  • respectful
  • not your private information unless you choose
  • Sm’algyax names are welcome if you prefer

Examples:

  • RavenHouseContributor
  • KitsumkalumYouth
  • GispaxlootsEditor
  • Sm’algyaxSpeaker

5. Editing Expectations

Approved editors agree to:

  • follow Ayaawx when appropriate
  • respect House ownership of stories and names
  • avoid writing about other Houses without permission
  • keep a neutral and educational tone
  • avoid political arguments or personal conflict
  • correct mistakes gently
  • cite sources when possible
  • ask for help if unsure

Elders’ words override written sources.

6. Account Safety & Privacy

  • Never share passwords.
  • Administrators cannot see your password.
  • All edits are logged under your username.
  • If you leave a computer, log out.
  • If your account is misused, it will be disabled until resolved.

7. Losing Access

Editing access may be paused if:

  • pages are vandalized
  • Ayaawx is broken
  • House ownership is ignored
  • content is taken without context
  • personal attacks occur
  • someone repeatedly adds false or harmful content

Admins will contact the user for correction before any long-term action.

8. Administrator Tools

Admins can:

  • create new accounts
  • reset passwords
  • lock accounts
  • protect important pages
  • review edits
  • block spam bots
  • approve or deny account requests

Administrators protect the safety of the knowledge, not ownership of it.

9. Need Help?

If you need:

  • an account
  • help signing in
  • help editing
  • permission to start a new page
  • guidance on Ayaawx and proper order

Contact the Luudisk administrator.

This protocol will be updated as the community grows and identifies new needs.
