Elders may:

- explain context,
- advise on consequences,
- and remind participants of lawful limits.
Limits
Elders do not replace house authority. Elders do not create new law.
Consequence
Respectful attention to guidance strengthens legitimacy. Ignoring lawful guidance may weaken decisions.
