{{PageStatus|Working}}
{{Category|Tsm’syen Law}}

=== Purpose ===
This entry records the principle that guidance within Tsm’syen law is conditional on trust.
Trust determines how far guidance may extend and how it is received.

=== General principle ===
Trust limits the scope of guidance.
Guidance is not automatic, unlimited, or imposed.

Where trust is strong, guidance may be offered broadly.
Where trust is weak or damaged, guidance is narrow and restrained.

=== Trust and authority ===
Authority to guide arises from trust, not position.
Guidance offered without trust carries no binding force.

Loss of trust reduces the authority of guidance.
It does not create obedience, compliance, or obligation.

Elders do not impose direction where trust is absent.

=== Conduct and trust ===
Trust is built through:
* Consistent conduct
* Accountability
* Respect for ayaawx
* Careful speech
* Honesty in action

Trust is lost through:
* Avoidance of responsibility
* Misuse of authority
* Dishonest or careless speech
* Actions that create imbalance

=== Restraint ===
Restraint protects the integrity of law.
Guidance without trust risks imbalance.

Where trust is damaged, restraint is required.
Deeper guidance follows restoration, not force.
